Thanks to Hyper-Threading the core-count is effectively doubled, to 4 threads. Core i3 2nd Gen has 3 MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.10 GHz to 3.4 GHz. The Core i3-2nd was built on a 32 nm production process using 504 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Core i3-2nd, which limits its overclocking capabilities. The i3-2nd is among the best processors one can find for a budget build, and coupled with a decent graphics card it will run anything at high or even maxed out settings.
